start the game
Shuffle the deck, deal ten cards to each player, and leave the remaining cards face-down as a central pool. Randomly draw one card from this pool to set aside as the target card.
form sets
Attempt to create sets of 1 to 4 cards from your hand that add up to the positive or negative value of the target card (e.g., for a target of +8, valid sets could be (-8), (-6, -2), (+4, +3, +1) and so on)
3. Drawing and Discarding
On your turn, draw one card from the top of the discard pile or the draw pile. If it fits any of your sets, replace one card from your hand with it. Place the discarded card face-up in the discard pile.
4. Continuing Play
The next player may draw the new face-up card or a face-down card from the pool.
Completing the Game:
The first player to complete their sets shouts "Z!" and shows their sets matching the target card for validation, ending the game. Scores are calculated by adding up the absolute values of the numbers in the incomplete sets of other players.
Winning the game
In tournaments, play three consecutive games; the player with the lowest total score wins.
